It’s All Jazz

The brass comes out in front,

taking charge of the tune.

The drummer whisks away,

hitting the big notes,

reinforcing the beat for,

others to follow.

The pianist seems content,

hitting backup notes,

until the brass back off,

creating that musical window,

for the keyboard to be heard.

Long enough for vocals,

to catch the rhythm.

Building slowly till the air

fills with sassy and sexy thoughts.

The big horns come into play,

boosting the vibes even stronger.

Music rises to an ultimate climax,

as the vocal and horns top out,

holding their final notes

for all to hear, loud and clear!

Slowly the band returns

to its solo trumpet

to bring the song

to a close.
