Keeping Comfortable with My pd

By: Joe van Koeverden

 Acceptance is the key

to be comfortable with my pd.

As long as I define this situation

as unacceptable to me,

I will not find peace of mind

or quality of life.

Until I accept pd as

an irrevocable part

of my new reality,

it may be impossible to see

or attract the many resources

available for medical treatment

of the symptoms to maintain

physical fitness and mobility.

I need to focus on changes

needed in things I can control,

to move forward and maintain

a quality of life for myself,

family, and friends who may be

impacted by my response to pd.
